Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance service and repairs on production equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks on production and facility equipment.
- Handle basic to intermediate plumbing, including air lines, hydraulic hoses, and chemical delivery pipes.
- Execute intermediate electrical tasks like conduit bending, wire pulling, and circuit breaker termination.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, measure voltage and current, and conduct continuity tests.
- Maintain and repair conveyors, troubleshoot basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct forklift repairs as needed, participate in shop rebuilds and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Perform basic fabrication (cutting, drilling, tapping, welding).
- Assist in organizing the shop and managing spare parts inventory.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks according to schedule.
- Mentor and train new hires and less experienced technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills, and Education:
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with power tools.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Effective communication skills and basic to intermediate computer proficiency for work orders and research.
- Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting up to 480VAC, including PLC experience.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of safety protocols (lockout/tagout, ladder safety, etc.).
- Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
