Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions within a fast-paced food distribution center. This role supports daily operations by managing employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and HR processes to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, staffing, and compliance
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and concerns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
- Manage employee performance, coaching, and disciplinary processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational goals
- Coordinate and support training and development initiatives
- Monitor attendance, turnover, and other HR metrics to identify trends and improvements
- Foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement
Qualifications
- 3 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership or management experience required
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience with high-volume recruiting preferred
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
